CHAPTER 37 THE FLASHBACK

Minerva Pov I stopped walking, already feeling weak and tired, and began to breathe heavily. Dipping my hand in my pants pocket, I took out my phone to make a call, but it wasn't connecting. I realised there was no service. I hissed in annoyance. Of course, since there was no sign of civilization and we were still deep in the woods, there wouldn't be service. Not having the strength to continue, I faced Dominic. "Let's take a break, Dominic. I am exhausted and don't have the strength to move forward anymore. I want to rest a little. "I looked around for a comfortable place to sit," I said. I found a comfortable-looking tree with wide branches and walked towards it, sighing with relief. It would at least protect me from the harsh, bright sun. I sat under the tree, resting my back on the trunk, and closed my eyes briefly, which flew open immediately at Dominic's words. "Weak," he scoffed. "I don't have time to waste waiting for clumsy people. Get up and let's continue ou
