CHAPTER 28 EYES ON YOU

I stared at her silently for a few seconds, then checked my watch.
"Since I already shared the cities among the groups," she told me, her eyes narrowing with curiosity. "And since there's no one else left, I think you should come with me."
"And I think bees should stop pollinating." She retorted calmly, as if that would make her statement less insulting. "That means no, in case you were wondering," she added, with the same composure one would employ while explaining something to a child.
"I know what it means."
"Good." She grabbed her bag and stood up. "Then that's settled."
She headed towards the door, and I knew I should have looked away, but I couldn't. My eyes trailed down her sculpted back, as well as her soft swell and curve.
She suddenly stopped, and my eyes snapped up to her face.
"You should go home; I’ll handle the rest."
I smothered an annoyed growl as I watched her leave.
"Fucking psycho."
