"How deep is this forest?" Dominic spoke weakly from behind me. His face was drawn, and he looked tired.
Gaius's curse was killing him. I stopped and gave him some water. "We just need to find a way to get rid of this stupid curse," I said as I fed him water.
"Meredith, how far do we have to go?" She stared at the map in her hand. "We have to keep going North; there's a temple with powerful artefacts that I could use to filter out Gaius's curse.
That way, I'd be able to break it." Dominic took a deep breath and closed his eyes. "If I survive this, I'm killing Gaius."
He muttered. "Do you need my help?" I asked.
"I think we need to take a break."
"We can't keep taking breaks every thirty minutes, Minerva," Meredith replied.
"She's right," Dominic said.
"I can keep going." "Do you need my help," I asked. He waved his hand.
"It's okay; I can still work. You need to focus on not getting hurt. I can smell the magic in this forest; it's alive."
