Chapter 88: A Late Start
As Sophie was busy preparing lunch, Giselle finally managed to leave her bed, stretching and yawning, her back aching from the late start.
She attempted to rise, only to feel as if her body was falling apart, sore and limp all over.
Luckily, Henry was quick to offer his support, teasingly chiding, “Sweetheart, have you been neglecting your workouts lately?”
Giselle rolled her eyes silently, thinking to herself that even if she ran a marathon every day, it wouldn’t match up to his almost inhuman energy levels.
She subtly shrugged off Henry’s hand and flung back the covers, making an effort to shift her position.
Just as she intended to step out of bed, Henry’s arm encircled her waist and pulled her back in.
He nestled into her neck, inhaling her scent greedily like a cat that couldn’t get enough of catnip.
“Just hold me for a moment,” he murmured, his voice raspy with morning hoarseness, a sensation that tickled Giselle’s ear.
