The war had ended.
Sherman led his people back to his castle, the very same place where he had first met Elaine. The castle was alive with cheers, and the faces of the people were illuminated with joy and contentment. The triumph of victory was palpable, and all felt a sense of pride in their triumph.
But one person was conspicuously absent from the gathering.
Outside the castle, the night was peaceful and serene.
The bright moonlight bathed the land in a silver glow, casting an ethereal veil over the landscape.
The mountains, looming in the distance, appeared even more grandiose under the moon's illumination. The woods and meadows shimmered with a silvery radiance, a view that Elaine had seen countless times before. But now she had closed her eyes and was as still as if she were asleep.
"Elaine, all our troubles are over. We don't have to go anywhere now. When you wake up, we can go dancing in the forest just like before. You can sing to me too, if you like."
