Jaxson's gaze met Edmond’s, his eyes icy as the shadowed tundra.
"Why are you staring at me like that? Don't you know it's past quitting time? Everyone else was too afraid to approach, so they sent me," Edmond said, cheerfully taking a seat across from Jaxson and casually fidgeting with some trinkets on the table.
"Leave," Jaxson commanded loudly.
"I heard you both attended a concert today. The band is internationally renowned. Were you not satisfied with the performance?" asked Edmond.
"I told you to leave!"
"Ah, I see," Edmond mused. "You and your wife had a disagreement, didn't you? Ah, what's the saying? Quarrels today, make-up tomorrow. You both are just too stubborn."
Blatantly ignoring Jaxson's icy stare, Edmond continued, hitting Jaxson's sore points with each remark. Jaxson's eyes grew icy and venomous as if his glare would end Edmond's life if he heard Edmond utter another word on that matter.
