CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR - A Surprise Guest
As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the gardens, Mason turned to Claire. "Are you hungry? I know a little bistro not far from here that serves the most amazing coq au vin."
Claire's stomach growled in response, making them both laugh. "I think that's a yes," she said.
The bistro was everything Claire had imagined a Parisian restaurant would be – intimate, charming, with soft lighting and the gentle murmur of conversation filling the air. As they settled into their corner table, Claire felt a sense of contentment wash over her.
"This is perfect," she said, taking in the ambiance.
Mason smiled, his eyes never leaving her face. "I'm glad you like it. I discovered this place on my first trip to Paris, years ago. It hasn't changed a bit."
