"So," Mason said, pulling Claire close. "Favorite moment of the trip?"
Claire hummed thoughtfully. "That's tough. Maybe... that sunset we saw in the Grand Canyon? Or Henry's face when he tried ice cream for the first time in Chicago?"
Mason chuckled. "Both good choices. For me, I think it was that night we camped out under the stars in Wyoming. Just the three of us, in the middle of nowhere, looking up at the Milky Way. I've never felt so... I don't know, connected to everything."
Claire nodded, understanding completely. "It was a pretty amazing trip, wasn't it? Even with all the craziness."
"Especially with all the craziness," Mason corrected with a grin. "That's what made it an adventure."
As they reminisced about their journey, laughing over the mishaps and misadventures, Claire felt a deep sense of gratitude wash over her. This was what it was all about – these moments of connection, of shared experiences and laughter.
