CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FOUR: THE RUSSIAN CONNECTION
Robert turned in his seat to face them. "We can't stay here long. Those men might still be looking for us."
Mason nodded grimly. "You're right. We should get some supplies, use the restroom if we need to, and keep moving."
They quickly took care of their needs, grabbing water and snacks from the small convenience store. As they were about to leave, Claire noticed a rack of maps.
"We should get one," she said, grabbing a regional map of Nevada. "Just in case we lose signal again."
Back in the car, they studied the map, trying to figure out where they were and where they should go next.
"We're way off course," Mason said, tracing their approximate route with his finger. "If we want to make up time, we might need to cut through this desert area here."
Robert looked skeptical. "I don't know, man. Desert driving can be tricky, especially at night."
