Mason's jaw clenched. "Who else is involved? How high does this go?"
Robert pulled out a tablet, swiping through a series of profiles. "I've identified several key players. CEOs, hedge fund managers, even a couple of politicians. But I'm certain there are more we haven't uncovered yet."
As they pored over the evidence, Claire felt a chill run down her spine. "What about Jonathan? Where does he fit into all this?"
Robert sighed, running a hand through his hair. "From what I can tell, Jonathan did engage in some minor infractions. Probably to keep his position and avoid raising suspicions. But he's small fry compared to the real players. They're using him as a scapegoat."
Mason's phone buzzed, interrupting the tense conversation. He glanced at the screen, his face paling. "Claire, you need to see this."
Claire took the phone, her heart racing as she read the anonymous message:
"Stop digging. You're playing with fire. This is your only warning."
