The man in the glasses, who looked like he belonged in an old-school detective movie rather than a trendy Italian joint, greeted us with a warm smile. "Good day! Welcome to La Trattoria Fantastica. Do you have a reservation?"
Drake glanced at me, raising an eyebrow. "Uh, a reservation?"
I bit my lip, trying not to laugh. "Nope, no reservation. We're just winging it today."
The man chuckled. "No worries at all! Follow me; I've got the perfect table for you two."
As we followed him through the bustling restaurant, Drake leaned over to me. "You really know how to keep things spontaneous, huh?"
I smirked. "Life's too short for reservations, Drake."
He chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Fair point."
The man led us to a cozy corner table with a view of the bustling kitchen. "Here you go, folks. Enjoy your evening."
