“Oh boy, it looks like we have a teddy bear showdown,” Drake said, chuckling as he nudged me.
I laughed, shaking my head. “Well, this looks like something we can help with. Let’s see if we can settle this.”
We approached the children, who were now making quite the ruckus. The little girl’s face was scrunched up in frustration, while the boy’s expression was one of stubborn resolve. I crouched down to their level, hoping to defuse the situation.
“Hey there,” I said with a friendly smile. “Looks like there’s some serious teddy bear business happening here.”
The kids paused their tug-of-war, eyeing me and Drake with wide eyes. The little girl sniffled, still gripping the bear. “He won’t let go of Mr. Snuggles. It’s my bear!”
The boy, his eyes darting between us and the girl, added, “I just wanted to play with him too. I didn’t mean to make her upset.”
