LEON'S POV
I was in my office, barely keeping my focus on the stack of reports when Carlyle rushed in. His expression was tense and it made my wolf stir with unease.
"Leon, we have an emergency," he said without preamble.
I frowned, sitting up straighter. "What now?"
Without another word, Carlyle handed me his tablet, showing me footage from the pack’s CCTV. My blood ran cold as I watched what was happening outside the gates. Dozens, maybe even hundreds, of werewolves had gathered there. Some held signs, others were shouting. Their words were barely distinguishable but the message was clear.
"Execute the rogue!"
"Irene is a threat to us all!"
"She’ll destroy us like her father!"
My jaw clenched as I stared at the mob. The media frenzy had been escalating for weeks, and now this.
"How the hell did this happen?" I growled, forcing myself to remain calm even as my wolf snarled inside me.
