"Stop gazing at her like that. You look like a lunatic," Rhaziel said, his voice edged with irritation. Nikolai merely shrugged, unperturbed. "Are you unhappy that no one is staring at you?"
"I'm too busy babysitting a lunatic, you know," Rhaziel retorted.
"This lunatic didn't ask for a babysitter," Nikolai countered with a smirk. "You once called me father," Rhaziel said, raising an eyebrow.
"I didn't," Nikolai replied, his tone dismissive.
"Fine, as soon as you stop staring at her and follow me, I'll stop teasing you!" Rhaziel said, clearly exasperated.
"Do not yell, or you'll wake her up!" Nikolai warned, his tone more serious.
Ophelia stirred awake at their bickering, letting out a loud moan before looking at Nikolai and Rhaziel with disapproval. "Waking someone up this early in the morning is completely wrong."
