Carolyn Mrs. Barlow smiled as she saw us walk into the living room. I averted my eyes from her, hating the way she looked at me. "I thought you two wouldn't come in again." She said as she saw us. "We were just about to come in." I said. She gave me a knowing look and I wondered if she had been looking at us through the window. "I don't think you were." She said. "Have you been looking at us, mum?" I gasped. "I wasn't looking at you but was looking out for you." She said. "I haven't been looking at you since you went out if that would make you feel better.
