Chapter 43 The Agonizing Silence

I watched as he walked towards his desk, his eyes roving everywhere but refusing to settle on me. He sat down, shifted his desk away from mine and started to play on his phone.
I winced, hating his new attitude. He had started it few days ago and I had thought he was going to get tired of it soon but it didn't seem like that. Before, he would have greeted me good morning the moment he walked into the class and sat beside me but now there was nothing.
I didn't want him to fuss over me but I didn't want this long and boring silence either.
I decided to be the bigger person. "Good morning, Ryan."
He glanced at me, nodded and then looked away.
My eyes widened in surprise as I stared at the back of his head. It was a pity that he couldn't see me staring at him. I couldn't believe that was what I got after I decided to extend the olive branch to him. Couldn't he see that was what I was doing? He couldn't even open his mouth to answer my greeting properly.
