I woke up the next day to see dad in my bedroom. I stretched and scrubbed the sleep off my face when I saw him, wondering if I was dreaming. He shouldn't be here.
"Good morning, dad." I greeted.
"I'm glad you think it's a good morning." He chuckled.
I frowned, wondering what he meant. "I thought you have a meeting my six this morning, dad. This is six-thirty."
"I did but I postponed to talk to my daughter. I'm sorry I came home late last night and didn't get to see you before went to bed."
I melted. "You don't have to feel bad about that."
He chuckled. "I didn't come because I felt bad. I'm here because I'm curious and think we need to talk."
"Is there a problem?" I asked, going stiff with worry.
"I should ask you that. Is there a reason you come home everyday from school in a bad mood?"
I scowled. "Did Sean snitch on me?" I might be needing a different driver after all.
