I felt groggy but I didn't dare sleep. I knew that Gary was on his way and would soon be here for me. Margret had said that and I didn't think that she was lying about that.
She had known about Gary when I hadn't told her his name in my story and knew my full name as well. That was enough for me to know that I was in danger. It was a pity that I couldn't run away. I couldn't even walk away.
I felt tears prickling my eyes and I felt angry and ashamed that I had tried to run all this while only to end up being taken like a week doll at the end.
If I could find my way out of this, I was never going to trust anyone again. I didn't care who it was. I willed my legs to fight off the effects of the drug so I could make a dash for it.
I yawned and sighed, hating how useless and weak I was.
She laughed as she saw the way I had yawned. "You should sleep if you want to. It will make the trip less painful."
