Chapter 150 On the Run Again

"That wasn't such a bad lunch." Alan said as I cleaned up the table after we were done with lunch. "I had fun."
"I also had fun." I admitted.
I had apologized to his girlfriend and we had laughed about the misunderstanding. She was cool and I liked her just as she warmed up to me immediately. It was sad that our friendship would be short as I definitely had to leave soon. I couldn't ignore the nasty feeling even if I didn't have confirmation of it yet.
She excused herself after lunch and went out as she had lectures to attend. Just like Alan who was a college student and ran the convenience store that he had inherited from his family, she was also a college student. Alan needed a part-timer so he wouldn't have to close the store when he had classes and so he wouldn't have to miss classes when he had to work.
I hated that I would be affecting him if I suddenly want to resign but I didn't have a choice here. I hoped that he would find another part-timer on time and wouldn't
