Mia "Oh my, you look so pretty." Cory said as I made my way to the car. I didn't tell him that he could give me a compliment but that was nice to hear. I had spent the whole night planning how I was going to look and spent hours on my face to look as beautiful as this but I was going to forgive Cory for thinking that I only looked pretty. After all, he had taken up a lot of courage to tell me about how I looked without waiting for me to tell him to talk. It wasn't his fault that he had gotten the adjectives mixed up when I knew that he didn't get an education as the one that I had. I couldn't blame him for not knowing how to give compliments to a girl as beautiful and sophisticated as I was. I doubted that he had even seen one as good as I was before. "Thank you." I beamed as I slipped into the car. "Where are you going?" He asked. "The sheriff's house." He frowned. "I don't think that your father is having a meeting with the sheriff today. Aren't you going there to join them?"
