Everywhere was silent and so was everyone as we prepared for the test. It had been few weeks after resumption and finally time for the first test.
I wasn't nervous but I didn't want to make errors. I felt like the only way I could pay the Barlows back for their support was to keep beating the records and making them proud.
Mia hadn't acted out to me at all this semester and that meant that I had to buckle myself up and prepare harder than I did last semester. I believed that she was distracted last semester because she was busy fawning over Ryan and that might have been the reason I had been able to throw her off her throne.
She didn't care about Ryan this semester or was trying hard to act like she didn't care. That meant she was giving her all to her academics and I had to deal with a fiercer competition than I had to the previous semester.
