Sweat formed on Ryan's forehead as the sun rose higher in the sky.
He had just come back from getting fresh water.
The two women had already built a strong fire and were busy cleaning mushrooms nearby.
"Ryan, you're back! Wow, so much water. Is it drinkable?" Freya exclaimed as she spotted the three coconut shells filled with water.
"It's drinkable. You can have some if you're thirsty, but don't drink it all. We need to save water to cook mushroom soup," Ryan replied with a smile.
Freya took a sip and handed it to Nina, who took a big gulp.
"I'm done. Let's save the rest of the water," Nina said.
"Yeah, if only we had containers for storing water. We could stockpile some here since water doesn't spoil."
Freya sighed, tossing a piece of wood into the fire.
"You're right. When I have time, I can search for some old coconut shells. I'll eat the meat, wash the shells, and let them dry in the sun.
"Then we can use them to store water.
"Since we have ear scoops and nail clippers
