Ryan said thank you as he accepted the jacket.
He threw two broken pieces of firewood into the fire, listening to the crackling sound as he started to feel drowsy.
When Ryan opened his eyes again, he was awakened by the cold. He saw that it was still raining heavily and dark outside.
Judging by the darkness, it should be midnight or around 1:00 AM.
The fire was still burning, but its heat was limited. Ryan shivered, looking at the two women who were also shivering, their faces turning blue.
"Have you two fallen asleep?" he asked.
Both women nodded in unison, then suddenly shook their heads.
"We fell asleep at first, but then we woke up from the cold and haven't been able to sleep since," Freya said, hugging herself tightly.
Nina also nodded. She was slender, lacked body fat insulation, and was already too cold to speak.
