Chapter10 Debt
Surprisingly, the contract they had signed between themselves gave Aurelia an unexpected sense of peace and security that she didn’t know she needed. With this, she didn’t feel like every word she said would be exposed anymore, nor did she feel as vulnerable as she had before.
Now, Aurelia felt kind of cockier more than usual. Whether it spelled beneficial or regrettable to Dante’s motives, they will find out in the future. For the time being, Aurelia was reveling in her sense of control.
“Are you heading out now?” Dante's voice greeted her as she prepared to leave.
She glanced over to him, finding him lounging in the living room, impeccably dressed in a plain white shirt that hugged his figure and black slacks, his hair neatly brushed.
“I will,” she lazily answered as she scrolled through her encrypted messages with the financial advisors. “And what about you? Aren’t you off to chase down people who owe you money or something?”
