CHAPTER 26 A RIVAL ATTACK
JARED'S POV
My phone rang in my pocket, piercing the cozy, carefree time I was spending with Sabrina. I paused for a second, not wanting to leave the unique calm I was experiencing next to her, but I had to pay attention to the buzzing that wouldn't stop. I sighed and took out my phone, taking a quick look at the screen. As soon as Nicklaus's name appeared, a knot of worry appeared in my stomach.
I whispered to Sabrina, "Give me a second," and she nodded, her grin softening a bit to show worry. I took a few steps back and put the phone to my ear.
"What's that?" I questioned, and I tried not to panic.
Nicklaus's voice returned, anxious and low. "We are facing an issue. Kingston, your business adversary, has been secretly purchasing shares. It appears like he is gradually attempting to take over. It's not good that I've been monitoring some of the transactions. I could obtain a sizable hold in the next days if we don't move swiftly."
