Someone wanted to buy Janice's older double-sided crochet pieces?
There were works she had quietly entered into competitions during the years she was with Simon, pieces she had screened out as not quite good enough to win. While they weren't award-worthy, they were still high-quality enough to perform well in smaller competitions.
"The offer is quite generous. If you don't need them, why not sell them?" Eleanor, the woman who had watched over Janice and Jacob since they were children, suggested kindly.
Janice didn't lack for crochet pieces now. Even if she needed any, she would prefer to create new ones. Holding onto discarded pieces served no purpose.
"Sell them," Janice agreed.
"But they mentioned something about a confidentiality agreement," Eleanor added.
The mention of this made Janice immediately suspect that the buyer intended to use the pieces for competition. She didn't mind.
"Sign it, Eleanor."
