At that moment, inside a kindergarten, Jayden noticed that the driver was later than usual after being dismissed from school. Next to him, Matthew chatted away, "Do you always get picked up by a driver?"
"You think?" Jayden replied, slightly exasperated.
Matthew puffed up with pride and said, "My driver is always one of my elders. Great-grandpa says it's to make me feel the love of the whole family."
He then lowered his voice and spoke mysteriously, "Do you know who's picking me up today?"
"Who?" Jayden asked, playing along to avoid a long-winded explanation.
"It's Great-Aunt Gretchen," Matthew said with satisfaction.
Jayden wasn't impressed. Gretchen wasn't his real grandmother, so he didn't see the big deal.
As they were talking, Gretchen's car arrived. It was a flashy presidential luxury car. Gretchen, dressed elegantly in a dress and high heels, descended gracefully. Although she was well over fifty, she still exuded charm and sophistication.
