CHAPTER 88: SIX YEARS LATER

The large lounge bubbled with ecstasy as people all dressed in elaborate attires moved about from one corner to the other, some of them carrying wine glasses in hand. In different corners of the room, groups of two and three huddled, chatting friendly and exchanging pleasantries. Soft music erupted from the speakers, keeping a few couples who waltzed gently in time to the music. From the side of the room, Stephanie, clad in her elaborate gown, headed over to Camila, who had just concluded speaking with a smug-looking man. She wore a golden glittering dress, and her face lit up just as Samantha joined her. "That is one hell of lateness for someone at their party." Samantha tilted her head slightly to the side. “I like to think you’re the one late, Cami.” “How so?” She quirked a brow. "If you were early enough, you would have met me brokering with the guest and maybe would get a chance to receive my warm welcome." Camila laughed a little, looking this way and that way, before downi
