Chapter 51
I left my house a little after noon. By the time I got to Darius’ house, there were bikes parked in front of it. I briefly wondered if his friends lived out of his house because they were always there. I had barely lifted my hand to knock on the door when it flew open. Amy stood there with a smile on her face as she ushered me inside.
She held me in front of her like a shield and for a split second, I wondered what it was about until I saw Ian. I let out a sigh of resignation as his eyes found me. He tried to peer over my shoulder at Amy but she was determined not to look at him. I offered him a sad smile because I could see how badly he was hurting but that was the best I could do. At the end of the day, he had to fix his issues with Amy by himself.
I was led over to the spacious dining room where everyone was seated. Darius was lounging on a love seat by himself and there were two open seats, one next to Ian and the other next to Jared. I wanted to take the one next to Ian to save
