Juliana spoke with Mason as if she was talking to a child.
"Sure, Mom. I'll keep Ave company, then."
"Go ahead, go ahead."
After Mason stepped out of the kitchen, Avery looked at him and remarked, "You're so good at making my parents happy. "
Mason said, "I wasn't making them happy. I'm doing all these things from the bottom of my heart."
Avery curled her lips upward, then took him by the hand.
Mason said, "Show me your room. I'd like to see where you usually spend your time."
"Okay." As Avery said that, she led Mason to her room.
Entering her room, Mason scanned the interior. Avery's room was rather small. Even that bed of hers was only a single bed. Next to her bed was a desk, and a bookshelf with books on it was standing to the left of her desk.
While Mason studied her room, Avery tiptoed slightly and gave him a peck while cupping his face in her hands. "Mason, how are you so sweet with your words? How could you be so likable?"
