CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINE : PERFECT PLANS

~MAE~ Realisation hit me hard and my eyes widened as my brain processed my words, with that, my next words came in a stutter.. “Uhmm.., I meant the say–” the opening sound of the door interrupted me and my eyes landed on the gatekeeper who walked in with a basket that had several contents in it. “Oh, here he is” the nurse flashed a smile as he took steady strides towards us. “Congratulations madam” he smiled and I nodded. The joy of being a mother was really the only thing that gladdened my heart and nothing else. “Thank you” I muttered and he brought out a phone from his pockets. I recognised it as mine even before he handed it over to him. “I brought you this to contact boss” he said and I slowly received it. “When you get to the bridge, you'll cross it” this was Rose's reply to me when I questioned her about what to do and tell Frank anytime I put to bed and now, I was finally at the bridge, about to cross it. Questions began haunting me, flooding my mind and dominating my t
