The MC took the mic. The moment that everyone had been waiting for has arrived. "And the winner for this year Best actress award is..... Scarlett Kingston!" He announced.

There was a loud cheer from the crowd. Scarlett got up and started to walk to the stage. She was really happy. She had really gotten the award in the end.

Scarlett walked to the stage to collect her award. Finally, after so much hard work, she was finally to achieve her dream. She got the best actress award that she so much wanted.... nothing could make her more happy right now. She felt like she was floating on the Skys. She suddenly did not care about that idoit CEO messing with her or that annoying reporter asking her so many questions earlier.

When Scarlett was handed the award, she was asked to make a speech.

"Well, I won't say that I am surprised that I got this award. I've been working hard for this for a really long time. I think that my hard work payed off. I'm really very happy right now. Also, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me through my career" Scarlett said.

Down stage, Rose could not resist the urge to slap her hand on her forehead. What really is wrong with Scarlett? Does she have to be so narcissistic? She isn't supprised? She worked hard for it? Since the award ceremony was pretty much done, there was no need for Scarlett to continue to stand on stage.

She walked down and Rose immediately came to her.

"You really did win the award Scarlett. This is great!" Rose said.

"Of course. What did you think was going to happen? I'm Scarlett after all." Scarlett said.

Rose sighed. Fine it was her fault to expect anything from her. "You are going to stay behind for the after party right? You will get the chance to meet many directors if you stay" Rose said. She sounded like she was trying to convince Scarlett to stay. There was no telling what she would do anyway.

"Do I really need to do that? I'm Scarlett. Do I still need to suck up to some people?" Scarlett asked.

Rose felt like anyone who had high blood pressure would pass out from listening to Scarlett.

"But you still need to go. After all, you are the one who won the award today" Rose said.

Scarlett who was in a really good mood because of the award decided to just go. It won't be too bad anyway. Since she won the award, she should at least show it off right? "Alright. Let's wait for that. After all, I won the award today. I'm going to show it off" Scarlett said. She believed that there was no need to put in so much effort if she could not show it off.

"I've already confirmed Mr Raymond. Scarlett is going to stay back for the after party" His assistant, Davis said.

Raymond smiled. It turned out that they did not come to this place for nothing. "What are you waiting for then? Let's go" He said. He came all the way here to see Scarlett. He felt angry that he Raymond had to go to such lenghts just to see some actress but it would all be worth it when he gets her in the end anyway. Ryder walked around the hall that had been rented out for the after party. He had to admit, that he really hated these kind of places. He would not have come if he did not need to teach that Scarlett a lesson and put her in her place.

"I really didn't think that you were actually going to come. Tell me Ryder. What do you want to do?" Matt asked. He had stuck to Ryder ever since they arrived here. He did not want to cause any trouble for Scarlett. He would only be affecting thier company then.

"What do you mean by why I'm here? I'm the CEO of Healian Entertainment. I just want to see how these things work" Ryder said.

Matt snorted. Like he would ever believe that.

"So that woman won the award?" Ryder asked. It didn't seem like he was looking for an answer from Matt. Rather, he looked like he was talking to himself.

But still, Matt could not help replying him. After all, she is an actress from thier company. He could not help but feel proud for he achievements.

"Yes. Don't you think that it's great? Scarlett is really talented" Matt said.

Ryder snorted. Matt seemed to be full of praises whenever he talked about her. "Why are you always praising that woman? I really don't think that she's that good. She's arrogant and she doesn't know her place!" Ryder said.

"I really don't understand how a person can like that can win the award. What is wrong with the entertainment industry these days?" Ryder asked.

Matt looked at him. If he puts it like that, then isn't he making fun of his own company too? He suddenly felt like he could not continue to talk with this person anymore. He felt like he was going to lose his mind. Matt decided to choose the easiest way out. The award already finished anyway. He won't be able to do much now.

"I really can't talk to you. I'm going to talk a way around" Matt said and walked away from his friend.

Ryder smiled as he watched him leave. He turned to leave. He could finally do whatever he wanted now without that annoying Matt following him around.

She had come to this place because she wanted to see the woman who made Ryder break up with her but she couldn't even get a glimpse of her besides that time when she went to collect the award. And now she walked into someone. She was feeling really angry. "I'm really sorry. I'm sorry I..." Julia stopped her apology when she saw who she walked in. How is it him?

"Ryder, you are here too?" Julia asked. Her mood suddenly brightened up. She thought that she was really stupid got coming here in the first place but it turned out that her coming wasn't completely useless. She could meet Ryder!

Scarlett wasn't having an easy time either. Because she had just won the award, lots of people kept trying to suck up to her. She found it really annoying and so she walked away from the majority of the people, leaving Rose to deal with him then for her.

She had come to the back to get some fresh air when she ran into someone she thought that she would never see again.

But it seemed like he did not want to ignore her though. He actually walked up to her.

"What do you want from me?" Scarlett asked. She was really starting to doubt her mother's taste in men. How can she set her up with someone like this?

"I want to know one thing. Are you going out with that Ryder? Is that the reason your rejected me?" Raymond asked Scarlett. He could not believe it. He had never been rejected in his life. He has lots of women chasing after him. From daughters of socialites to all kinds of celebrities, but why does this woman treat him like he doesn't exist? He just did not understand it.
