Bethany was taken aback, unsure of how to handle the situation. There was no way she could take Harold back with her.
"Mr. Sibbett, would this work?" Trystan intervened, sensing Bethany's unease. "I'll find a place for you to stay. Then, I'll have Mateo come personally to apologize. How does that sound?"
She looked at Trystan with a mix of gratitude and embarrassment.
Harold frowned. "I don't have any money on me."
"Mr. Sibbett, don't worry," Trystan reassured him. "I'll take care of your food and lodging, and I'll even assign a driver to you." He nodded to Elijah, who was standing nearby. "He's my assistant, and he'll handle everything."
Harold seemed to be tempted by the offer but turned to Bethany again. "Make sure you tell Mateo to come find me. Let him know he'd better not wait until I track him down, or he'll regret it."
"I'll pass on the message, Mr. Sibbett." She nodded.
Trystan gave Elijah a discreet signal, and he promptly escorted Harold away.
