Trystan put down his phone and sat on the couch, beckoning Asher to come over.
"Daddy," Asher snuggled up to him, having become increasingly clingy lately. "What's wrong?"
"Ash, I've run into a bit of a problem. Could you help me think this through?" Trystan asked gently.
He nodded immediately. "Sure, tell me about it."
He ruffled Asher's hair. "You know Mommy's lost her memory, right? Now she wants to get it back..."
"That's a good thing, right?" Asher's face lit up. "Maybe when Mom remembers, she'll come back to us. We are, after all, a family that loves each other."
Trystan shook his head. "I've done many bad things to Mommy in the past. If she remembers everything maybe... maybe she'll never forgive me."
