Megan didn't give Trystan a chance to speak. "Who would be willing to marry an infertile woman like me, except for you? Who else would truly care for me?"
Her eyes blurred with tears as she grasped Trystan's arm. "Trys, you're all I have."
"Okay, stop crying," Trystan said softly, his heart softening at her distress. "I haven't said anything against you. Just be patient and stop wasting your efforts over insignificant matters."
Megan nodded in understanding. She knew that her inability to have children was a sensitive issue for Trystan, and also gave her a unique leverage in their relationship.
"Trys, I'm hungry." Megan wiped her tears and looked at the man pitifully.
"Okay, let's grab some dinner." Trystan let out a soft sigh before driving Megan to their destination. Although it didn't matter to him who he shared a meal with, he felt unusually irritated that day.
