CHAPTER 67: FACE OFF
Laura spotted Victoria from across the room. That night, she was the center of attraction. Everyone was talking about how beautiful she was and what dress she wore.
"How dare that low life come here?!" Laura said quietly.
Victoria's laugh echoed around the room, drawing more attention as people moved in to talk to her.
"She's taking all my shine," Laura muttered angrily as she fisted her hands. "I'll teach her to know her place."
She waited until Victoria was alone, took a glass of red wine from a waiter, and headed towards Victoria, pretending to be fully focused on her phone.
As Laura approached Victoria, she pretended to trip and spilled the red wine all over Victoria's pristine white designer dress. The room gasped in shock, and Victoria's eyes widened in horror as she looked down at the stain spreading across her chest.
"Oh, my goodness, I'm so clumsy!" Laura exclaimed, feigning innocence. "I'm so sorry, Victoria; I must have been walking too fast in these heels and tripped.
