CHAPTER 33: IT'S OKAY
Laura took the paper from Edmund entirely and looked at it again as though her eyes were deceiving her; she was sure it wasn't up to that earlier.
“There's no way this is the contract I signed; that one wasn't up to ten million; I checked it myself.”
"That's the same paper you put your signature on, ma'am," Sarah said calmly, even though she badly wanted to laugh out loud.
"This isn't the contract I signed. Are you trying to be smart with me right now?" Laura asked her with a strict look on her face. She was sure the paper in her hand wasn't the one she signed.
“Don’t you recognize your own handwriting anymore, ma'am? It's the same paper; we don't even forge signatures here.” Sarah calmly said.
"Then explain to me how this is different from what I signed.”
"Maybe the problem is that you didn't look at the overall summary of the stuff you want to buy.” She still kept that professional smile on her face.
