CHAPTER 240: UNCONTROLLABLE TEARS
She stomped her feet on the pavement angrily; if her shoe weren't original, the dole would have come off after a few steps.
Her temper was glaring, and she was trying her best not to cry. She stood at the bus stop for a few minutes, trying to coordinate herself before taking the next step.
"Are you okay?" an old lady asked, moving closer to her.
She seemed to be a woman in her mid-sixties, with white frilly hair with silver undertones, round glasses with a bead neck strap, and a matching walking stick. "My dear, are you fine?" she repeated when Sarah had not replied.
"Yes, ma'am, I'm fine," Sarah said, bowing her head lightly. She didn't want the old lady to see her fighting back tears.
"You don't look fine to me," the woman said persistently. It reminded Sarah of her grandmother, and that equally moved her to tears. Well, if you say you're fine, I'm looking for this address. Do you know how I can get there?" The woman handed her a paper with an address scribbled in black ink.
