Elsa's feet pounded the pavement as she ran from the hospital, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't bear the weight of Jack's words, the sting of his rejection. She felt like she was drowning, suffocating under the pressure of her secrets. She knew it. They couldn't be together. It was all a mere dream thinking he could forgive her just like that.
