Chapter 149 - Unnecessary Kill

Luke stood up from the ground, his body was still weary but his eye caught a wolf who was behind his kneeling mother; it was about to pummel her. Quickly, his eyes darted across his environment. His eyes caught the glistening of silver not too far from him. He stretched his arm and lifted the silver weapon from the ground. Turning to the wolf which was about to descend on his mother, he flung the weapon. The weapon went through the beast's neck causing blood to splatter on Luna. Luke stepped backward, his body still heavily fatigued from the battles he had engaged in. He was temporarily relieved. He was able to save his mother from certain death. He fell amongst a pile of dead bodies, looking towards the roof. His breathing was heavy, and sweat trickled down his thick fur. Blood washed all over Luna but she was much too heartbroken to react. She knew Ramsey had always been with her from the very start; even when she was with Roland. She never did think things would happen this way
