Chapter 13 - A Glimmer of Trust
Jack sat on the couch, his mind still reeling from his conversation with his mom.
"Give her a chance to trust you," she had said.
But how could he do that when Elsa seemed so determined to keep her secrets hidden?
Just then, he heard the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs. He turned to see Elsa descending into the living room, looking absolutely stunning in a beautiful dress that seemed to shimmer in the light.
"Wow, you look amazing!" Jack exclaimed, his eyes fixed on the dress. "I mean, seriously, you look like a princess or something."
Elsa blushed and laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Thanks, Jack. Your mom lent it to me this morning."
"No way!" Jack teased. "My mom's got great taste, but I didn't know she was into princess dresses."
Elsa playfully rolled her eyes. "It's a special occasion, okay?"
Jack raised an eyebrow. "What's the occasion?"
Elsa hesitated, her eyes darting around the room. "I... uh... I just wanted to look nice for breakfast."
