Chapter 129 - Kara's truth
Thorne smiled as he watched his wife play with their young daughter, Aria, in the small village square. They lived in a tiny cottage on the outskirts of the village, but they made do with what they had.
"I'm so grateful for you," Thorne said, walking up to his wife and wrapping his arms around her waist.
His wife looked up at him, her eyes shining with love. "And I'm grateful for you, Thorne. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."
Aria giggled and pulled on Thorne's hair, trying to get his attention. "Daddy, Daddy! Play with me!"
Thorne laughed and scooped up Aria, spinning her around in a circle. His wife watched, her heart full of joy.
"You're an amazing father," she said, when Thorne finally put Aria down.
Thorne smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm just doing my best. I love being a dad."
His wife leaned up and kissed him. "I love watching you be a dad."
As the sun began to set, Thorne and his wife walked back to their cottage, hand in hand, with Aria
