The two close friends, Cheryl and Wendy, had just arrived, swimsuits in hand but not yet changed.
Since the college entrance exams ended, they'd been spending more time outdoors. Wendy's skin had tanned a bit, giving her a healthy glow that added to her energetic, youthful vibe.
Cheryl, on the other hand, hadn't changed at all—the heavens always seemed to favor beauties like her. Her skin was even fairer than Lily's.
While Lily's complexion was radiant and soft, Cheryl's had a rare, icy brightness. In the bright sunlight, her skin practically dazzled.
Wendy spotted Nathan first and called out to him. Before he could respond, Cheryl shot him an annoyed look. "Didn't you say you were afraid of water and couldn't swim?"
Cheryl was genuinely upset. Nathan was there, standing in swim trunks with droplets on his chest and damp hair, obviously just out of the pool.
Nathan shrugged. "Cheryl, no need to call me out, okay?"
A pout appeared on Cheryl's otherwise cool face, and she huffed,
