Noticing that Lilith’s attention was fully focused on her, Alison quickly took the coffee from Lilith’s hand. After swapping the cups back and forth in her hands, she casually asked, “I’ve heard of this coffee brand before. What flavors did you get?” As she inspected the cups more closely, Alison noticed that both were the same flavor. A frown crossed her face. “Lilith, I wanted to pick a different flavor, but you bought the same one.” Lilith’s expression grew tense, her gaze fixated on the cup in Alison’s hand. She nervously replied, “We’re best friends, aren’t we? Of course, we should drink the same flavor.” With that, Lilith quickly snatched the coffee from Alison’s right hand, inserting a straw and taking a quick sip. She sighed in satisfaction. “It’s really delicious. Alison, you should try it too. I’m sure you’ll love it.” Alison, watching Lilith’s actions, deepened her smile and nodded.
