Chapter 19: Attending the Party
Lilith's words were tinged with sadness. She had hoped that Alison would comfort her after hearing her plight. However, Alison knew exactly what kind of person Lilith was and had no intention of fulfilling her wish. With a shrug, she said:
"Telling me won't help. Maybe you should just switch majors."
With only a few days left until graduation, Alison's comment was pure sarcasm. Lilith's face immediately darkened.
The two of them had an awkward, silent lunch. Afterward, Alison sighed and said, "I have other things to do later, so I won’t go shopping with you. And tomorrow, I have plans, so don’t wait for me."
Lilith pressed for more details but got none, leaving her no choice but to accept it.
The next morning, Alison was woken up by loud knocking on her door. She yawned and reluctantly dragged herself out of bed. Opening the door, she was stunned to see Jane Lane standing there.
