Chapter 113: Unable to Reach Jane and Lucas
Oliver's expression instantly darkened, his voice icy as he said,
"Did the pasta and steak end up in the dog’s stomach?"
Alison met his gaze stubbornly, responding,
"You forced me to eat it. I can just throw it up and give it back to you. After all, in your eyes, I’ve always been just a dog, haven’t I?"
Oliver was left speechless, unsure of how to respond.
Without waiting for his answer, Alison didn’t care. She slowly left the kitchen, but she quickened her pace slightly, worried that Oliver might do something shameless. With her injured leg, her hurried steps looked awkward and clumsy.
Rushing back to the villa, Alison found the place eerily quiet. She glanced at the clock in the living room—12:30 a.m. And still, neither Jane nor Uncle Lucas had returned. What on earth had happened?
Lucas worked a simple, laid-back job at White Group. Even if he went out for dinner with someone, he wouldn’t be out this late.
Could something have happened?
