"Aren't you going out with someone tomorrow, Xav?"
I was confused. "Yes. He invited me to see the competition. He's a designer friend of mine," I added.
Grace suppressed the joy in her heart. "I thought you meant that someone had invited you out elsewhere." She glared at me.
I finally got it. She was in a daze moments earlier because she thought I was going to miss the competition.
"I will show up for all your firsts—anytime and anywhere." I leaned in affectionately.
At 10:00 pm, the lights in the presidential suite were off. The moon shone brightly in the night sky. Mist gradually shrouded the dark.
At 9:00 am, it began to rain lightly. Looking down from the window, everything looked to be the same besides the dimmed sunlight.
