CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND TWELVE– A WYLD QUEST
Anna's fingers traced the dusty spines of ancient books lining the shelves of Erik's vast library. The warm glow of the afternoon sun filtered through the tall windows, casting long shadows across the room. She paused, her eyes catching on a peculiar leather-bound volume she hadn't noticed before.
"Erik," she called out, carefully pulling the book from its resting place. "Have you seen this one before?"
Erik looked up from the desk where he'd been poring over some documents. His eyebrows furrowed as he rose and crossed the room to join her. "What have you found, my love?"
Anna held out the tome, its cover adorned with intricate symbols and what appeared to be claw marks. "It doesn't look like anything else in your collection."
Erik's eyes widened as he gently took the book from her hands. "I can't believe it," he murmured, running his fingers over the embossed title. "The Wyldheart Ritual. I thought this was lost ages ago."
