CHAPTER EIGHTY-TWO CHILD'S PLAY
JADE’S POV
A little bit later into the night, he receives a call from work, and I'm surprised because it isn't a little late to call someone in. He says it's normal for him, so he doesn't mind it, but I'm still shocked. He offers to drive me home, but I decline because Hannah is still here, although I'm not sure where she is, so it wouldn't be nice if I just ditched her and went straight home; she could need my help here since she's probably wasted by now.
He hesitates, but after a little more convincing, he leaves and promises to call me later tonight to make sure I get home safe, and I smile in response. I'm now alone here like I was from the beginning, so I keep staring at the dancing people as if it's their last. I start to feel dizzy after another glass, so I stand and head up to see if I can find a bathroom because my makeup also needs to be touched up.
