CHAPTER SIXTY-EIGHT TURNING GREEN
JADE’S POV
"Good night." After a few more minutes, I ended up telling her, so I cut the call and left the room to look for him. I head straight to his office, knowing he'll be there. I knocked on the door twice before I came in and saw him going through some papers behind his desk. "Hey," I say, walking forward, and he raises his head to look at me. I try to tell if he's upset, but his face is too expressionless to do so.
"Are you almost done with this?" I motion, putting my hands over the stack of papers, but he says nothing doesn't. Could he be upset about what happened, or is he tired? I start to wonder, but his voice brings me back. "Come and see this," he states, and I step forward and stop when I'm beside him. "What is that?" I ask, looking at the paper he's holding up for me to see.
"It's a list of the places we need to be tomorrow," he replies. I nod my head thoughtfully and bend to see the words written down on the paper correctly, but I strangely lose my balance and
